Small Tips on Hemp Fabric
when you custom or purchase hemp productions, you can ask 3 questions first?
Q1: It it made of natural hemp or imitation hemp?	Because imitation hemp is not real hemp, it’s made of polyester, just of the similar pattern of the hemp. and it’s much cheaper than hemp.	How to test it? The hemp burns to ash, the polyester burns to a ball.
Q2:what’s the raw material of the hemp? wheather is it made of cannabis, flax or ramie?	Because It’s easy to mistake hemp with linen and ramie. All these fabrics or fibers (hemp, cannabis, linen, flax, ramie, jute, kenaf, ambary,…) are called (ma) in Chinese, but there isn’t a word which is equal to （ma）in English. Sometimes （ma）is translated to hemp in English, but （ma） is not only hemp. it include hemp, linen, ramie and other fabric. So It’s esay to mistake them.	we can’t tell hemp and flax apart by eyes
Q3: Is it 100% hemp? What’s the component of the hemp fabric?	Hemp fiber can be made to 100% hemp yarn and hemp blended yarn, blending with cotton,linen,polyester or a bit nylon, then we can get 100% hemp fabric or hemp blended fabric.	How to test it? The 100% hemp is hard to dye, It can only dye a few dark color, such as black, dark grey, dark blue, dark brown, or bleach to white. so light color hemp fabric can’t be 100% hemp.
